The Return of Decentralization Greek Local Government Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic was one of the greatest crisis faced by humanity. It had a significant negative impact that affected public health, society, economy, and performance administration. Although national administrative system's response to set up, resilience strategic management patterns at local level also initiated. This paper focuses on identifying evaluating strategies models adopted Greek government build during crisis. results research are based an empirical survey conducted in 27 municipal authorities Greece, which showed despite various policy initiatives funding provided last decade formal introduction focused planning models, urban is downgrading due continuation important implementation compliance gaps measurement adoption from lack effective model multi-level coordination among policy’s stakeholders.
